As part of our continued commitment to Accessibility, Monkton Church of England Primary School has:   

  • A single storey site that is assessable and step free
  • Pathways and corridors sufficiently wide enough to allow wheelchair access
  • Level and wide access to main building
  • A Low level communication hatch at school office front desk for easy access by wheelchair users
  • Classrooms located on one level
  • Disabled toilet facilities

If you need to access the school using public transport, please be aware there is a rural hourly bus service from Minster.

Special Educational Needs Mainstream Core Standards This is the guidance for schools, parent/carers and professionals working with children and young people. It outlines the provision that the local area expects to be made available for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities attending mainstream schools 

Main Core Standards for Parents - Guide for Parents  This guide is for parents and carers. It explains the purpose of the Mainstream Core Standards and provides a summary of the guidance given to schools by the Local Area (Education, Local Authority and Health) about how they can make sure that they are doing everything they can to meet the needs of their pupils with SEND
