Walking Bus

We would like all families to use the Walking Bus as their preferred method of transport to school, especially if they live at the Parsonage Field end of the village, or are travelling to the school from outside the village itself.  Children meet at the Parsonage Fields “bus stop” no earlier than 8.15am.  The Walking Bus promotes a healthy lifestyle and avoids traffic congestion outside the school.

The Walking Bus leaves at 8.35am and travels down to school in time for the opening of the gate.  Please do not leave your children at the “bus stop” before a Walking Bus Volunteer is present.

If you are running late and arrive after the bus has set off, please walk with your child to catch up with the “bus”, or meet them at Seamark Close.

If you have a Reception child please walk your child to school with the Walking Bus.    You may accompany your child into the Classroom for the first 2 weeks and then into the Courtyard for as long as you feel they need it.

If you would like your child to join the Walking Bus, please completed the Walking Bus Promise Form and return it to school or the Walking Bus Coordinator.

If you would like to become a Walking Bus Volunteer or would like to find out more about becoming a volunteer, please see the Walking Bus Coordinator.    All our volunteers complete an enhanced DBS check, these are completed through Kent County  Council via  the school office.
