We cherish our relationship with the local village and play a part in community life. The school uses the local Church for services at key points in the year and members of the clergy regularly lead Collective Worship in school

We believe that it is important for children to learn about the local and wider community and involve themselves in local activities. We visit and utilise people and places locally to enhance learning experiences.

We have established links with local primary and secondary schools and have regular contact with the Monkton Under 5’s Playgroup, the Monkton Women’s Institute and many local businesses.

We fundraise for our local children’s hospice, Demelza House, which is based in Sittingbourne and other charities such as Children in Need, Comic Relief and Help the Heroes.

The school is a drop off point for donations for the Thanet Food Bank, in addition we are able to give food bank vouchers for those suffering hardship. We donate food items from our Harvest Festival and Christmas food collections to the older members of the community and to Thanet Food Bank.
